Sherman Act and Commodity Exchange Act violations alleged in new class action case

A class action complaint has been filed in Illinois federal court against the Chicago Board Options Exchange by a group of investors alleging collusion and manipulation of its Volatility Index. Jeffery Tomasulo v. CBOE Exchange, Inc., CBOE Global Markets, Inc., CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC, and John Does The Volatility Index is a benchmark index that measures the 30-day expected volatility of the S&P 500 Index for large cap U.S. stocks. The complaint claims violations of the Sherman Act and the Commodity Exchange Act. Korein Tillery lawyers participating in the filing include Stephen Tillery, George Zelcs, Robert Litan, Robert King, Aaron Zigler and Michael Klenov.
